Born from the ever growing interest in our Coquina and Clam Jams, Jetty is excited to introduce the Inaugural Littleneck Jam. The goal of the Littleneck Jam is to foster the next generation of the surfing community with good vibes and teach them some of the basic ropes of contest surfing. The Littleneck Jam will be open to surfers 12 and under, assistance from local surf instructors and parents will be allowed. While all our surf contests are meant to be fun, this one is especially meant to be a good time, with the competitive portion limited.

When: June 30, 2024

Time: TBD

Where: 68th Street, Brant Beach, NJ 08008

Why: To foster and promote surf skills to the next generation of community leaders.

How: 50 surfers will be divided into teams of 5. Each team will surf against another team of 5 in a 15 minute heat and be judged based on wave catching ability, style, and who is having the most fun! Aside from the in water surf aspect, surf instructors will provide tips and additional skills to create competent and safe contestants. Additional beach games will also be part of the program.

The Littleneck Jam is open to surfers 12 and under. This event is meant for beginner to intermediate surfers. Parental assistance is allowed in the water. We still ask that competitors be comfortable in the water and are able to swim on their own if separated from their board or parent.

If you are at an advanced skill level but under the age limit please reach out for placement in the Coquina or Clam Jams. Please only sign up for Coquina or Littlenecks at this time, not both. If you are surfing in Coquina and would like to assist with Littlenecks as a volunteer please reach out.

Jetty Rock Foundation and Jetty reserve the right to make the call on which event is right for each contestant. Our ultimate goal is safety, having fun, and putting on great surf contests.

Littleneck Team Sponsorship: $500

• Designated space on site for a 10'X10' tent or table to promote your surf school

• Ability to distribute material promoting your surf school
